When M & M decided to get married late May 2022, they could not decide between two venues because they were waiting for their friend across the other side of the world to see when they would be able to make it. This super sweet gesture that they shared with me when we first met was when I knew, this couple and this wedding was going to be a special one. When I arrived at the location, I spoke to the vendor and he recommended me to shoot behind the Groom building, as there were some stunning colours that would look magical. I was so excited to shoot this couple with the magical sunset that would make the sky sparkle and bring that element of romance and light to the photo. When I had a chance to speak with the groom, he divulged he is Liverpool fan, so we ended up taking about the team quite a lot, almost getting carried away with the debates! The couple themselves were very open and kind, they always checked up on me from time to time throughout the day to ensure I was enjoying myself even though the day was clearly all about them. I really appreciated that they took their time to ask about my day and this obviously shows how kindhearted and loving this couple are.
Before long it was sunset, I decided to take them out for a quick 15 minutes as the lighting was beautiful. The couple were brave and happy to try out any ideas I had. When it came to golden hour, the sunset came out from behind the clouds. The luck we had in capturing this was unreal, plus, these two deserved it. I could not be happier for them. When it came to the sparkler it was it was fun, though also dangerous! I was worried that I would get caught on fire, as I am right in the centre, a mere few millimetres from the couple but the result was worth it am very happy with the amazing results. I showed M & M them a sneak preview of the shoot and they were over the moon. It was certainly a wedding to remember.
The location,
Lillibrooke Manor and Barn is located in Maidenhead, Berkshire. It was beautiful place which provided many keys area to making your wedding special. The first is the sumptuous cloister garden with a small water fountain, making it relaxing place for guests to enjoy their drink with the friends and family. There are also some small, quaint barn designed for the ceremonies. The Great barn is a wonderful hexagonal room with grand windows overlooking the grounds as next to the barn there are enclosed gardens. I really did enjoy the little water fountain; I think that is such a nice touch as sometime the sound of water can create a relaxing and soothing atmosphere. The little hidden garden just behind cottage room, which the vendor recommended really helped a lot to provide that rustic and romantic feel. The location was constantly inspiring me with new ideas on what I should do when it come surrounding to produce beautiful photographs of the happy couple.
